Biography
Marc holds a Masters degree in Library and Information Sciences from the University of North Texas, a Bachelors degree in Interdisciplinary Studies with a concentration in Public Affairs from UT Dallas, he is a Certified County Librarian in the State of Texas, and he is also a Certified Public Manager.
Marc has been involved in libraries in one capacity or another for 21 years. Obviously, his service began when he was three years old. Prior to coming to the Arlington Public Library, he was a Library Director in east Texas and has a passion for community based service delivery.

Speech Description
In the building relationships speech, I discuss the current demands for services versus the capacity to address those services through interagency and community collaboration initiatives from an information scientist's perspective.
In the Changing Libraries, Changing Lives speech, I discuss where libraries have been and where libraries are going as it relates to economic development, youth engagement, social services, bridging education gaps, and new opportunities for service through collaboration in the community.
