Mrs. Jean Burk

Biography

Jean Burk is a published author and teacher, who has successfully taught numerous students  “How to Master the SAT and Get FREE College.”  She supervised both of her children's home education and SAT preparation. Consequently, her son Josh (A National Merit Scholar) received multiple full scholarship offers from various universities because of his PSAT/NMSQT score. Her daughter Judah received over $130,000 worth of offers from the two schools for which she applied because of her SAT score  

Jean’s current book, College Prep Genius, is designed to coach students to excel in testing, by using easy and proven test-taking techniques. She has published powerful articles on how to get free college, how to conquer the SAT and how to receive college scholarships. She currently shares her expertise on “FREE College at Your Fingertips” before various organizations, schools and church groups. (including homeschool groups, bookstores and book fairs) Her classes have taken her to a number of cities where she has taught public, private, and homeschooled students.  

Currently Mrs. Burk is offering her SAT prep classes to college-bound students in the Dallas/Fort Worth area. She is available to speak for the purpose of educating parents and students on the importance of the SAT and PSAT/NMSQT tests. In the spring of 2007, she is expected to release her new College Prep Genius instructional DVD for home use.She has appeared on Fox 4 Good Day and NBC 5 Today as an expert in the area of the SAT and scholarships. She is a yearly contributor tothe magazine, HERD and Right at Home. Her book has been featured in The Cleburne Times Review and she will be in an upcoming issue of The Fort Worth Star Telegram.

Jean Burk has been married to her husband, Jim Burk, for twenty-three years. She homeschooled her two children; Josh, a senior and Judah, a sophomore at Ouachita Baptist University.  She was the Director of Agnus Dei Academy Homeschool Group for her daughter’s senior year, where she oversaw the graduation ceremony, senior activities, yearbook publishing, and fund raising. For two years, she served as the yearbook instructor and editor for Sonlight Christian Enrichment Classes, successfully publishing two homeschool yearbooks. Other than teaching students to "Conquer SAT Secrets,” she has taught numerous students in her Creative Writing classes.
