Heifer Project and its Work to Help End World Hunger and Poverty
Speech Description
Heifer Project is a NGO that has been providing livestock and plants to people in poverty, both in the United States and around the world for over 60 years, helping over seven million families. Heifer provides education to the recipients of plants and animals so that they will use sustainable agricultural practices, and must pass on the gift to someone else in need. Besides improving the diets of adults and children, which makes them healthier, the sale of products, such as goat's milk, creates income to pay for the children to get an education.References
